Broken systems. Most of humanity has ignored the c Broken systems.
Most of humanity has ignored the consequences of our actions for too long. Our leaders are not leading, they are instead following the money.
Politicians are caught in the middle of multiple tug of wars and they are so busy trying to keep everyone happy that they have lost sight of the fact that we are in a planetary crisis. We live in a crazy system of constant expectations of economic growth in a world with finite resources.
This ship is sinking and they are all still fighting over what colour the lightbulbs should be.
But there is hope, these systems can change, but only from the ground up. The direction our world is heading is not controlled by people so much as systems of behaviour that are established and adopted over many years. If we all wake up and fight for our home, for our lives, they will too. Together we can build new systems that lead to different outcomes. Our network of Arks ( gardens restored to their true nature) is one such system that will establish a life of its own, with benefits beyond what we can envision today. It is not a centralized system and hence it cannot be controlled, it will spread naturally like the wild thing it is.

“It’s time to go to work to save the sovereign “It’s time to go to work to save the sovereignty of our land, our water, our air, and all the creatures we share this planet with. The earth has become a barren green, brown, and scorched desert, but we can be the ones to create the island oases in this desert. These oases will be the seeding grounds for our new story. They will be sanctuaries for as many creatures as we can fit into them, safe havens for the magic and abundance in the natural world. They will become the ark for the flood of extinction that is already upon us. We are the last frontier and the last generation with enough time left to save this planet, by the skin of our teeth.
One person can effect such big change in this world, simply by inspiring change all around them.
One person, one patch of land, one decision at a time.”

“Every native tree is an ARK supporting a myriad “Every native tree is an ARK supporting a myriad of creatures above and below the earth. Trees also carry out a water-filtering service that I believe most people do not understand.
Every chemical the pharmaceutical industry creates eventually ends up in our drinking water. There are many routes for these chemicals to find their way into our water, but they always get there. It may be the result of our spitting toothpaste down the sink, peeing out hormones from contraceptives, or washing non-natural clothing containing microplastics in our washing machines. Even the most modern water treatment facilities can’t always remove 100 percent of toxic chemicals such as PCBs, fluoride compounds, and sex hormones, so these continue to build up in the water. It can’t be good for any human or any other species to drink small levels of chemicals and medications every day.
The members of our tree family are experts at removing these chemicals from water. They have the ability to pull water in through their leaves and up through their roots and to release it as oxygen and water vapour, in a process called the water cycle. A mature oak drinks more than 50 gallons (190 litres) of water a day! The magic happens in between the pulling in and the releasing. Trees process and filter out all those nasty chemicals, including the sex hormones.
Then the magical microorganisms and bacteria that work in partnership with the trees break the harmful chemicals down into their constituent elements. These can once again be released and recycled, causing no more harm. This environmentally sound system for pollution prevention and control is known as phytoremediation.
We need to protect every single tree we already have and plant or preferably allow and support nature to grow trillions more native trees if we are to survive the chemical warfare we have inflicted upon the earth, upon ourselves.” - Extract from “We Are the ARK -
